10th September, 2021 Sadly, it is with much regret and dissapointment, that i must announce my withdrawal from the James Cook University x Cairns Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards this year. I would like to thank the member(s) of the Cairns community that have nominated me for this award and whom value, the great work i have done and continue to do in our community. This work will continue. I am proud to have been named a finalist and value deeply the letters of support i recieved from community leaders. I wish the remaining finalists all the best, you have all worked extremely hard and you are all winners and emerging leaders in my book! I will still however, be considered for the Awards Australia 'Community Hero' award in November, so keep an eye out for that one. Regards, Shane Cuthbert
