Shane Cuthbert was previously married to Australian Swimsuit Model Berenger Rose.
Model Berenger Rose Accuses Husband Shane Cuthbertof Committing Serious Domestic Violence
In 2016, Internationally published swimwear model Berenger Rose made global headlines when she accused her husband Shane Cuthbert of domestic violence, on national television.
Berenger Rose made a number of very serious domestic violence allegations to 'A Current Affair' with the program labelling Shane Cuthbert as 'Australia's Most Evil Husband'.
Berenger Rose provided a statement to the Queensland Police who investigated her claims however, brought no charges against Cuthbert. Despite making this statement to the Police, the UK Mirror reported that 'despite the alleged beatings Ms Rose says she didn't go to police'.
Later, The Courier Mail and entertainment news site Her.com reported that 'Shane is currently in police custody although none of the charges against him are believed to be linked towards the alleged abuse inflicted on his wife'.
Following increasing scrutiny and pressure from the media, the Queensland Police continued to maintain that they, would not charge Mr Cuthbert.
A Current Affair, Channel 9 News, Youtube, MamaMia, Grazia, NewsCorp Australia, the Courier Mail, the Daily Mail UK and other media companies/programs in Australia have since removed references to the controversial story.
Shane Cuthbert later said "Look, we had an argument, I'd been drinking and she came upstairs bragging about how Shane Warne had just sent her pics (sic) from his bed and I snapped", "I took her phone and I smashed it", "I'm not proud of it and it wasn't my finest moment but I certainly didn't do all those other things she claimed".
At the time the viral story aired, Mr Cuthbert was held on unrelated charges and spent six months in custody during which time, Berenger Rose travelled overseas to stay with Hollywood actor Crispin Glover, in Prague.
Berenger Rose also claims that she convinced Amber Heard to approach the media with allegations against Hollywood star Johnny depp. During her stay, Berenger Rose says "I was asked (by Crispin) to speak with Amber (Heard, a former partner of Crispin's) who was going through similar stuff and i told her, she had to tell people about Johnny Depp".
Berenger Rose was interviewed by A Current Affair later in 2016 however, A Current Affair decided against publishing and removed its earlier publication from all platforms.
Shane Cuthbert, After being the victim of an assualt during a home invasion in Mackay, attended the Mackay Courthouse to provide evidence in late 2016 with Berenger Rose, who was required to give evidence as a witness. The Magistrate finding that "I cannot believe anything she says" when referring to Miss Rose during the Hearing.
Despite the serious nature of the claims (which included deprivation of liberty, rape and serious assualts) and almost immediately after his release, Berenger Rose returned to Australia where she contacted Shane Cuthbert, travelling to Townsville to be with him until seperating in 2018, finalising divorce in 2019.
Shane Cuthbert is currently working on a book titled 'Australia's Most evil Husband' which chronicles his relationship with Berenger, experiences in prison and the formation of Domestic Violence Anonymous, a Not-for-Profit organisation Shane Cuthbert has established to support male victims and perpetrators of domestic violence and reduce domestic and family violence in Australia.
Shane Cuthbert is currently dating Georgia Rosandich
Shane Cuthbert is currently dating Cairns local Georgia Rosandich. The pair choose to keep much of their personal lives private, which is often difficult given Shane's visibility in the community, online and in the media however, they have remained in a relationship together since december 2019.
Shane was released from prison in 2018 and remembers seeing Georgia for the first time, making his way through Cairns Central Shopping Centre. "She was the first person i remember looking up at me and smiling, i hadn't seen a smile like that in such a long time".
In the end it was mutual friends who brought the pair together, Georgia says "Our friend Beccy (before she was a school teacher) worked with me and she used to come into work telling all these crazy stories about this guy and everyday was something new".
"One day she sent me a snapchat and I was like who's that guy (Shane) and she was like that's the guy I keep telling you about!" says Georgia.
Prior to meeting Berenger in 2014, Shane Cuthbert was in a long term relationship with Renee Willemse.
Shane Cuthbert previously dated Renee Willemse. Shane was introduced to Renee by her mother however, it was not until they met again in Sydney that the pair started dating. Shane recalls "I was asked by my friends to walk up to the most attractive girl in the club, who happened to be Renee, i was one of the promoters at the time and would get free drinks and things..", "Here i was, tap her on the shoulder and she turns and hugs me, i couldnt believe it and neither could my friends", "turns out she remembered me meeting her some months beforehand but i certainly did not". Shane says Renee was everything he was not "she came from a good family, wealthy background, attended Uni, definately not the way i grew up". Shane and Renee split amicably in 2014, having been together over three and a half years.
