2. Anxiety Disorders What it is:Excessive fear or worry interfering with daily life. Includes Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Panic Disorder, Phobias, and Social Anxiety. Symptoms:• Constant worry• Restlessness or agitation• Rapid heartbeat, sweating, trembling• Panic attacks• Avoidance of feared situations Causes:• Genetics, brain chemistry, stress, trauma Treatment:• CBT• Exposure therapy (for phobias)• Mindfulness and relaxation techniques• Medication (SSRIs or anti-anxiety medication) Self-help tips:• Practice relaxation or mindfulness• Challenge anxious thoughts• Maintain healthy sleep and diet• Gradually face fears with support
