Cairns Regional Council Election 2024 The Cairns Regional Council Election will take place in 2024 and Shane Cuthbert is well placed, as a politically active member of the Cairns community to comment on the many Cairns Divisional candidates and Mayor position up for grabs. Shane Cuthbert has attended MOST Cairns Regional Council General Meetings, Cairns Regional Council Planning and Environment Meetings and shares various networks with current and aspiring Cairns Councillors.
Emma Gelling (Team Eden) Over the past decade, Emma Gelling has owned and managed Blended Hair, and received multiple awards . Division 5 Candidate Emma Gelling the Cairns Business Women’s Club Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2017 and the Institute of Managers and Leaders Emerging Leader award. Cairns Council Candidate Emma Gelling's dedication extends to community outreach, such as providing haircuts for the homeless and involvement in youth initiatives like Project Booyah. Emma Gelling's efforts reflect her commitment to fostering positive change in the community. Emma Gelling suggests her young age (32) and forward-thinking approach enable her to deeply connect with the needs and aspirations of the younger generation. Supported by Cr. Eden, Emma Gelling says her aim is to lead a transparent council dedicated to the betterment of Cairns. Emma Gelling aspires to provide a strong, resilient, and youth-focused voice for our collective future, working toward a community that thrives and embraces the evolving needs of all its members.
